Second Mile is committed to embodying Jesus’ presence in Tucson. Here you’ll find some areas through which we serve our neighbors. We partner with local organizations supporting those in need through the varied gifting and relationships within our church family.
Fall Family Fun
Each year we seek to engage our neighborhood by providing a safe, trunk-or-treat environment. It’s a small, but tangible, way that we get to give to our community and introduce ourselves—with no strings attached.
Hands of Hope
Hands of Hope’s medical and trained staff have been helping the Tucson community face unexpected pregnancies in Tucson since 1981.
Seeds Community Center
Seeds Community Center exists to ensure that families in the Tucson community have the resources to meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs so that they can heal, connect and find joy and purpose. We want to equip our neighbors to flourish in order to prepare them for a better future. This vision is lived out through the tireless efforts of staff and volunteers who pour into the everyday lives of the kinship families and children they serve through Kinship Family Enrichment and Sowing Seeds Tutoring Programs.
Tucson Refugee Ministry
Approximately 1300 refugees come to Arizona each year. Tucson Refugee Ministry educates, equips and mobilizes the church to serve refugees in our community. Our partnership helps cultivate a welcoming community within Tucson that values the nations at our doorstep.
